Fally Ipupa Nsimba, better known as Fally Ipupa, was born in Kinshasa on December 14, 1977. He is a Congolese singer, songwriter, dancer, and music producer. Initially a newcomer to singing, having been part of several smaller street groups, Ipupa caught the attention of Koffi Olomidé, who invited him to join his group Quartier Latin. Ipupa remained with Quartier Latin for seven years, contributing to six albums and one maxi-single.
In 2006, Ipupa signed with Obouo Music and released his debut album "Droit Chemin," which was certified gold a year later. With this album, he became the first Congolese artist since JB Mpiana in 1997 to have his debut album certified gold.
His third solo album, produced by riddell, titled "Power Kosa Leka," was released on April 4, 2013. Despite weaker sales compared to his previous albums, this album spawned successful tracks such as "Ndoki," "Bruce," "Anissa," "Terminator," "Sweet Life," "Service," and the title track "Hustler is Back." A week after the release of his third album, on April 11, 2013, he signed a contract for three international albums with AZ Capitol, a subsidiary of the major Universal Music Group.
Already achieving international success with World music hits like "Chaise Electrique" featuring Olivia, "Sexy Dance" featuring Krys, and "Sweet Life," he confirmed his popularity with his single "Original," released on May 5, 2014, which garnered over 10,000,000 views at that time.
