Pedro Henrique Lisboa Santos (Sambizanga, Luanda, July 7, 1983), also known by his stage name C4 Pedro, is an Angolan singer, interpreter, songwriter, guitarist, producer, and entrepreneur. C4 Pedro took his first musical steps in Belgium, where he lived for ten years.
He began his musical career alongside his brother Lil Saint. His father, Lisboa Santos, is a musician, and his mother is a stylist. C4 Pedro released the albums "Lágrimas" with Lil Saint, "Calor e Frio," and "King Ckwa" solo, and "Los Compadres" in collaboration with Angolan rapper Big Nelo.
Career
In 2007, C4 PEDRO and Lil Saint released their debut album "Lágrimas — Um Só Povo Uma Só Canção" in Belgium, which was later (2009) released in Angola upon his return to his homeland.
His second original recording, "Calor e Frio," hit the shelves in 2011 and propelled the artist's career, exponentially increasing his notoriety. The tour for this album, fueled by the excellent performance of hit songs like "Dá Só," "Calor e Frio," "Pokémon e Picachu," "Casamento," and "Bo Tem Mel" (a song produced by himself and sung in partnership with Nelson Freitas), led the musician and producer to sell out the Coliseu dos Recreios for the first time in July 2013.
The year 2013 saw the birth of the B4 project (C4 PEDRO and Big Nelo), which took the music industry by storm with the hit "É Melhor Não Duvidar." The video for the song reached approximately 25 million views on YouTube since then, and the duo toured several countries until the end of the project in September 2015, not before selling out Campo Pequeno in Lisbon (May 2014), filling Coliseu dos Recreios (October 2014), and performing at various events and festivals, including Meo Sudoeste. The CD/DVD "Los Compadres — Ao Vivo em Lisboa," recorded in May 2014 during the sold-out show at Campo Pequeno and released at the end of 2014, remained at the top of the national sales chart in Portugal for a long time.
The music video for the song "Quem Será (O Verdadeiro Amor)" garnered over 500,000 views in just 2 weeks and entered directly into the top of the most viewed videos on YouTube in Portugal.
Between 2014 and 2015, the musician participated in events and festivals such as Meo Sudoeste (Lisbon), África Dançar (Milan), among many others.
C4 Pedro participated in the Portuguese soap opera "A Única Mulher" and lent his voice to two characters in the animated film "HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2," which premiered in Portugal in 2015.
In September 2015, C4 PEDRO released the album "KING CKWA," under the Sony Music Entertainment label, which quickly rose to number 1 on iTunes and entered directly into national sales in Portugal. The work includes the hits "Vamos Ficar Por Aqui," "Tu és a Mulher," "Spetxa One," "African Beauty" (feat. Dj Maphorisa), among others.
Pearl, Zona 5, Big Nelo, Nelson Freitas, Dj Maphorisa, Kaysha, Edmázia Mayembe, Prodígio, Francis "MC Cabinda," are the guests on this eclectic album that explores sounds from pop to afrobeat, afro house, through R&B, zouk, or kizomba.
